Are you looking for a unique and meaningful way to get outside and explore the beautiful Minnesota Zoo? Look no further, as the Tiger Tracks 5K and Family Run/Walk/Roll is coming up on Saturday, September 14, and it’s an event you won’t want to miss!
Since 2008, the Tiger Tracks 5K has been a fun way to support the Zoo’s conservation efforts here in Minnesota and around the world. This year, the 5K race will start at 8 am at the Shady Oaks Picnic area and take participants through the Zoo’s scenic outdoor trails. With hundreds of participants each year, Tiger Tracks 5K has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help save wildlife and wild places.
This 5K is not just for experienced runners. All are welcome, including walkers, casual joggers, advanced runners, strollers and wheelchairs. “Tiger Tracks is a family-friendly event that promotes the Minnesota Zoo’s mission of connecting people, animals and the natural world to save wildlife,” said John Frawley, Minnesota Zoo Director.
One of the best parts of this event is that registered participants will receive free admission to the Zoo on race day. After the 5K, participants are invited to stay and enjoy the Zoo’s many attractions and activities. Whether you’re interested in checking out the animals, watching educational programs, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone at the Minnesota Zoo.
Tiger Tracks 5K and Family Run/Walk/Roll is sponsored by Raising Canes. Sign up today to be part of this special event and help save wildlife at the same time! Registration is open at mnzoo.org/events/tiger-tracks-5k.
