The Angkor Wildlife and Aquarium Destination is a highly anticipated destination in the Cambodian Siem Reap region, marking a new chapter in Cambodian tourism. The facility is the first world-class destination in Cambodia, attracting increased attention and tourism to the Kingdom and surrounding areas. This zoological park not only offers an opportunity for sightseeing but also serves as a conservation site for rare or endangered Cambodian wildlife species, providing a space for education and wildlife knowledge for locals and visitors alike.
The Angkor Wildlife and Aquarium boasts a large Mekong River exhibit, containing the largest giant Mekong catfish in captivity. In addition, the park features rare fish and other animals, including enclosures for large wildlife species such as tigers, otters, small bears, and sea and freshwater marine life from the Amazon River.
This project is not only a major win for Cambodia’s tourism industry, but it also brings economic benefits to the region. The attraction is expected to create jobs and contribute to economic growth in the district and nationally.
